The Medical Licensing Agency (MLA) is a government agency responsible for the regulation and supervision of medical practice in the United Arab Emirates. The MLA was established in 2006, and its mandate is to protect the public by ensuring that licensed medical professionals are competent and honest, and that patients receive high-quality care.

The benefits of having a licensed medical professional in the UAE are numerous. Licensed doctors are required to meet minimum training requirements and must pass an annual licensing exam. Licensed nurses are required to complete an equivalent level of nursing education or experience as a doctor before obtaining a license, and must pass an annual licensing exam as well. 

Licensed pharmacists must graduate from an accredited pharmacy school and have completed at least 3 years of supervised pharmacy experience before being granted a license. Dental technicians must have completed an accredited dental technician program and passed an annual licensing exam before being granted a license.
